Do stuffed animal mounts have pet dander?
I have found that I have an environmental allergy to pet dander. At work, my boss has numerous (over 50) dead stuffed animals all over the office. Is it possible for these dead stuffed animals to still have pet dander?

- After all the chemical treatment taxidermist gave them, I doubt it.
- Highly unlikely. They have been cleaned and processed - I doubt it.
- It's possible. Pet dander is just skin flakes. Also, those dead stuffed critters are probably pretty dusty, too. Many people are also allergic to dust mites that live by feeding on dead skin cells. Ugh! If you are having symptoms, that may be the cause. If you can't control having the stuffed animals in your environment, maybe you could ask for a HEPA air filter to clean those allergens out of the air. It might take a day or two to notice the difference, but they can work wonders. Just make sure it's HEPA, because they filter out the really small particles.
