can you sue a taxidermist for losing your trophy?
I took my first tom turkey to a taxidermist 2 1/2 years ago. Everytime I call him, he say he is going to start on it "next week". I think he lost it and thinks I will forget about it.

- YES, Yes, yes.*
- You can sue anyone for anything if you can find a lawyer to take the case Or you can take it to small claims if you have a way to attach a tangible value to the turkey
- Yes, you can sue him. In reality, you can sue anyone for anything. I have no idea how you assess a value for your trophy turkey but a lawyer can determine that for you.
- Best to go to small claims court. At the very least that will get a real response from him. You don't need a lawyer and the personnel in the clerk's office will tell you what to do. In my state it's called Justice Court and the maximum amount is $2500, which should be sufficient.
- Go to your taxidermist & ask for your bird back & your down payment back, IF he cannot produce it then YES sue his butt... Good Hunting....
- yes ,and remember that your gonna need an amount .so figure how much it cost you for the hunt and kill.fuel to get to hunt, fuel to drop off bird . everything right down to the shell you shot the bird with, leave nothing out also the license and turkey stamp, because now you cant replace cause already used. after all the taxidermist is supposed to be a professional.best of luck
